Snapshot of my day: Chuseok

I filmed a snapshot of my day video on Chuseok. We traveled back to the countryside for it. There was the ancestral rites memorial for deceased family members in the morning, then lots of food, relaxing and visits from family. I put on my hanbok to do a big bow to Hugh’s parents and we took the opportunity to take some photos in a field of flowers near the village.

Nicholalala video: Snapshot of my day

Some moments from my day yesterday! It’s been hard to keep up with this channel because we’ve been so busy since our move, but I think I will do these types of videos once a week, where I just choose one day a week to film small moments like this and present it without commentary – but I’m happy to answer any questions in the comment section on YouTube. I also want to do some just talking/answering question videos too, so I may answer some questions in videos.

Dinosaur Museum

This was filmed just before we moved to Seoul. It was the same day that we visited ancestral burial mounds, and met a lot of family members and went to the place Hugh grew up. As we were traveling home, to my surprise, we turned into the Dinosaur Museum in Goseong. It’s actually a huge area and we didn’t have enough time to explore all the coastline. I was quite interested in the exhibits, but other family members were not as interested. It’s really hard to enjoy slowly (and to have the time to film) with people rushing through museums. Hugh and I will have to go back again sometime so we can enjoy it more.

The dinosaur footprints were very cool to see, and there was so many of them! The coastline is really beautiful in that area. I recommend checking it out if you are in the area, or even making the trip is worth it.

Goseong is in Gyeongsangnam-do. More info here.
