Our Most Annoying Habits

We sure had a lot to talk about! This was a lot of fun to film. We actually filmed it before we were in Australia for 6 weeks and almost couldn’t find the footage again, but I’m glad we did. After filming this we were like, “Oh I just remembered something else annoying you do!”

In some ways we are really similar but in other ways we are complete opposites. Seriously, who wants to unpack their suitcase at 1am???

Thankful

Thankful

After that he did start to list things he was thankful for, but made that joke first and said, “You should make that into a comic”. Almost all comic ideas are genuine things that actually happen, but he is the one that prompts me to actually turn them into comics.

Not surprisingly, it was a little bit difficult mood-wise coming back to the middle of the Korean winter after being in the Australian summer. We felt a shift in our moods so we’ve been working hard on being positive and motivated.

What Privacy?

What Privacy

Maybe he is preparing me for when we have children and I have absolutely no bathroom privacy. Or he was just being a jerk.

My husband just said that many Korean guys do this (and probably not just Korean guys either). Haha, for those that want to marry a K-pop idol, I bet that’s not part of your fantasy.

Cuddle Time

Cuddle Time

I think I won in the end and made him come over to my bed. So we’ve moved into a much better place but we haven’t got everything sorted yet. Still need a double bed and some other stuff.

We are sharing with another couple who I kinda already knew so looks like things will be a lot better here. If you are wondering why we just don’t get an apartment to ourselves – it’s not that we are super poor – Sydney is just so expensive! Especially where we need to live (it’s cheaper the further you go out into the suburbs but we need to be in an expensive area because of work). Studio apartment prices start at about $450 a WEEK. So it’s cheaper to just share. Sydney is a beautiful city but there are a lot of problems too. I wish developers would stop putting in luxury apartments and just put in normal apartments people can afford.

Maybe I Am

Maybe I Am

Thanks husband!

I remember being a teenager and having a very flat stomach and older women telling me, “Enjoy it while it lasts”. I remember thinking, “Pshh I’ll always have a flat belly.”

Then I hit my 20’s and yeah… it doesn’t stick around, especially if you hate the gym like I do. Since I got married I’ve put on weight- I think that happens to most people. Now I’m on the verge of my 30’s and half the time I’m hoping I am just pregnant and it’s not just fat… hehehe. Actually none of my jeans fit now and I don’t have money for new clothes…so maybe I should do something about it.

Beauty and the Beast Pillow

Beast Pillow

I think the Beast will need therapy after the horrors he has seen. There was a slight bit of translation so his mother knew what I was saying and her response was that he should at least put underwear on. I’ve mentioned this before, but yes the Beauty and the Beast pillow is his.

He does try to stop me making these type of comics sometimes because at first he will be like, “Nooo! People will think I’m a pervert or something!” But really his nudity is so childlike. You know how in hot weather 2 year olds take off all their clothes? We share an apartment and the couple we live with don’t seem to understand the word “share” so although technically we have a right to use the living space, we aren’t really allowed to, so we spend most of our time in our room. Sometimes I think his nudity is a reaction to that. Okay we live with not very nice people but he is making the most of our own space by deliberately being naked.

Naked all the time

Sorry if this post is a bit rambling. Had very little sleep and just spent 7 hours on a train.
