Watching Together

I was asked on twitter:

Do you guys have a tv show that you would have to be together at the same time to watch it?

We DID have TV show that we watched together. It was The Vampire Diaries and we had a rule that we only watched together- that was half the fun, enjoying it together. The episodes were all on my husband’s laptop… then one day…

I discovered he had watched quite a few episodes secretly by himself! I don’t enjoy watching them as much alone so I stopped watching and it ended up that we just didn’t continue watching. We should probably start again.

We always watch Doctor Who together, but since we are up to date with that, it’s easy to just watch the latest episodes together online.

The Vampire Diaries though…… I think we were somewhere in season two.

Are there TV shows that you enjoy more if you are watching them with someone else?

I like to watch dramas with my mum and sister. Cos its more convenient (unless there are awkward scenes LOL). Recently though, my brother joins me when I watch Big Bang Theory and Modern Family (I got him into that! hahah). The other day, we sat in on me watching Running Man and really enjoyed it too so maybe he’ll get into that too~

Yes, our family watches certain shows together and then my husband and I watch other shows together without the children.
Yas we have also busted each other watching episodes without each other as well. LOL

Daniel and me watch a lot of things together, we’ve gone through all of Doctor Who, Castle, Sherlock, Community and Trigun and are currently watching Dark Angel. As far as I know he hasn’t sneaked any episodes in without me… We have our own cartoons we watch by ourselves – I am an avid Dragon Ball Z fan & he’s into Adventure time at the mo… Ive come to the conclusion that our relationship is founded on TV series… pretty solid foundation if you ask me :)

Me and my sister once decided to watch a drama together. We decided on Secret Garden, and were more or less doing well with watching it, and were near the end of it. I have a bad habit of getting distracted, and not finishing things up because of that. So, I stopped watching it. My sister stayed true to our promise of only watching it together, and so she also didn’t finish watching it, for around half a year, or maybe even longer. So, fast forward through that time, and we were finally able to finish up the last few episodes and the special. I think that if I didn’t have my sister around, I probably would have cried a lot more, though mind you, I cried a TON even with her there xD I’m planning on watching You’re Beautiful with her, since we recently bought the drama :) She’s already finished watching it like 2 years ago, while I quit on it xD

I did this a lot with my friends, man it was hard to keep up watching Kdramas. My friend avidly watched more than I did… I was always busy doing HW.

Some of my friends will like watch 10 episodes at once…. and just watch all night. I just can’t do that. I can’t usually watch more than 3 episodes at once.

Well, I actually prefer watching tv shows alone because it is more enjoyable.. You know, it’s annoying when someone keeps commentating on the shows or movies as if they were watching soccer game.. Kkkk

    • http://www.mykoreanhusband.com/ Nic

yeah those types of people are annoying. also people who don’t pay attention and then are like “what? what is happening? who is that?”

I used to watch dramas and entertainment shows with my ex, it was really enjoyable until I found him dozing off~~~ =_=||| and it really got me in my nerves when I found that he watched it without me too… He would unintentionally tell me what would happen next…. SPOILER!!!!! Ahhhhh…. ._/.

Oh I have a pet peeve when people fall asleep when watching something. I know sometimes they can’t help it but then I spend all my time checking to see if they are still awake.

Yeah same here! I’d rather they tell me they are too tired to watch it with me than they forcing themselves to do so and end up snoring next to me~~~

My husband does the same thing. We download dramas to watch together and then he’ll go ahead and watch a couple episodes without me. Then when we go to watch them together, he’ll fall asleep or not pay attention and I wind up not wanting to watch it anymore! lol

I don’t know why it is, it just isn’t as much fun to watch them alone as it is together.

I really is just way more fun to watch things together.
