What’s worse than dealing with people bumping into you in Korea, is picking up the habit yourself after a few year ans returning to Australia and bumping into everyone without realising it, and completely forgetting to say sorry!

I’m also dating a Korean guy (living in Korea) and people ask me all the time… “What’s it like?” I always have to remind them that it’s just like dating anyone else. People seem to forget that Koreans are really just a bunch of individuals, like any other place. I’m glad you reminded everyone one more time, haha.

Mr Gwon’s English was still good enough when we first met and it also helped that I had experience with Korean English and the Korean accent. Something I noticed the first day that we met was that he talked a lot! Not only that but even though his grammar wasn’t always correct, he could express himself really easily. I think that’s more important than having great English. Because he could express his thoughts and opinions at ease there wasn’t any major difficulties with language. Because we don’t speak the same native language we are always concious of trying to understand each other and having that communication. So we haven’t had any major problems because of language 🙂

Your interactions with Mr. Gwon are very cute 🙂 But one thing I am interested to know about is that, how did both of you tackle the language barrier when you first met each other and once the relationship started getting serious? Because every relationship needs a lot of communication, and I think you mentioned before that your husband’s English wasn’t as good before.

you can add another married couple onto that list (tho I’m a Canadian girl married a Korean guy). Though I find it is more rare to see Korean guys with foreign girls than Korean girls with foreign guys…I just lucked out I guess 😉
