In reply to Jess. Yes. I think anyone wearing something modern makes it feel like they are saying "Hey! I'm in the military!" but when it is older, you know that my 33 year old self would have never been in the Vietnam war.

same in singapore! camo patterns are usually worn by trendy teenage girls or teenage boys. those who’ve gone through military (compulsory for all males) see no desire to put on its uniform now that they’re free from it, haha.

I was in the military for 11 years and immediately after basic training I wouldn’t even wear that colour of green. Even today it is highly unlikely (even though I’m no longer in the military) that I will buy something with a camo pattern. I guess once you’ve “done that” it’s cool factor goes down. Though wearing it seems to be coming back into style again (just not for me I guess!)

Pretty common in Malaysia.. It became a trend… There was once you could see many wearing camouflage clothes during the army trend…

Both of my parents were in the Army, so I grew up seeing the ‘camo’ all the time. Actually, my hubby was a soldier when we married. I have a weakness to men at in uniform… it’s rather hot. But after 20 years of service, my parents aren’t to fond of the colors. Now my daughter is in the Navy and my son will possibly join the Air Force. Which is strange why in most countries it’s mandatory for men to join where as in the US it’s volunteery or even career orientated. Most of my family have servied and retired. Hugh, any information would be helpful.

Hmmm. Interesting. My friends all said the Korean army thing was okay for them. And these guys are a little older, so it’s when the service was longer. They said to me that it was a “piece of cake”. But I guess it comes down to personal experiences. Mr. Gwon may have felt uneasy throughout his service where some of my friends may have had a lesser difficult time with it. On a side note though, and just my opinion, I think camouflage anything is ugly. But that’s just an opinion, don’t be mad at me guys~! D:

Camouflage is pretty common in this area of the states, since it’s very much a hunting-oriented area. Nearly everyone I know has some sort of camouflage gear, some for hunting and some as general fashion.

My best friend is actually getting married next year, and she’s getting a white camo wedding dress. It’s really pretty~

My Korean bf has been in the army years ago and also really doesn’t want to wear army camouflage. I think indeed mostly because he doesn’t have good memories of being in the army. In my own country (The Netherlands) it depends on the trends; if military style is trending, then it’s ok to wear camo; if not, it’s shunned.
