The stares are one thing, especially from older people or very young children. But the giggling teenagers and their stares, especially when you understand just enough that they are talking about you, but nothing else. It does make you paranoid.

I go past a middle school on my way home from work, and there are always students staring and then daring each other to say something to me. So you get them running up going “Hi! Bye!” and then just breaking down in giggles when we answer.

Me too. I never really liked teen girls, especially in junior high. Luckily I had a few good friends and learned early that the “friends” stabbing me in the back weren’t worth my time…

Once in the restaurant one teenager girl was staring at me. So i looked to her eyes and smiled. But she didnt stop staring and smiled as well. So we were awkwardly staring at each other and smiling.
