It is a favorite book just for it’s beauty. I used it in my high school child development course when we learned about reading and the importance of books. I always had to point out the reunion of the mother with the child on the last page because my students were upset that his mother didn’t come back. I also thought it was a great way to teach about family culture and art from different places.
