C-U-T-E !!! The funniest thing is that usually when we make this kind of mistake we say it so naturally and with so much emphasis and convict that we are saying it right which make adorable and cuuuteee hahahhahahah I do it all the time in english

In reply to Maggielola. My sister did a similar thing in Romania at a fruit market. She thought she was asking the cute old man how much a lemon was, but the Romanian word for lemon requires a vowel English doesn't have. She substituted the closest English vowel and ended up asking him how much sex was.

It’s always funny when someone tries to say something in your language but it goes wrong. I’m working for a train company and in the Netherlands foreigners have it really hard when it goes about traveling with the train. My train station though is one of the few tourist friendly train stations but I did need to help them a few times. And last time I were helping two Koreans whom wanted to buy a ticket from Hengelo to Amsterdam. And I helped them getting a train ticket and told them how to travel but they missed the first train so they needed to get the next one. In the mean time they were asking me how to get a ticket from Amsterdam to Brussel (Belgium) but they said Blussel so I were like huh where? :O Really, I didn’t say it to them there but it sounded so cute to hear the R like a L. xD

(In the Netherlands we use a roling R so it’s different from the English and the Korean R)

Here’s my best language mistake story…fortunately it happened to my friend and not me. She was traveling and speaking in Ecuador (we have both been Spanish teachers) and she was asked to speak to a large group. She began buy saying how excited she was to be there. Except she used the word “excitada” which is a false cognate and can actually mean “aroused.”
