actually it is funny how Asians and non-Asians see someone’s appearance.
I have very white skin. in Asia people say ‘ Wow you are so white, what a beautiful skintone!’. and in Russia people say ‘OMG you are SOOOOO pale, do you feel unwell? maybe you should visit doctor?’
when I told my Russian friends (girls with fair hair) that I want a different haircolor, because my almost black is too common, and maybe I should try a shade of red, they all told me not to dye it. ‘because dark haircolor is the deepest, we all want the same but we are afraid of that tricky growing blond roots effect’ (it looks like having some bald patches, eww).

haha. My husband really wants our kids to look western, but I want them to look more asian… we’ll have to wait and see.

as to having a mixed baby – we have one, and nobody actually believes I am her real mother. because she has typical Slavic fair hair and green eyes, just like my husband. and I am Asian with dark hair and brown eyes.
my husband wants more kids, and sometimes I ask him what if our second baby will look like true Asian. he always gives me that bad joke about Sparta and throwing “unfit” babies off the cliff… sometimes Russian men are too sarcastic.

It’s gotten to the point where I’ve started to have babies on the brain, but I know now is not the time for us to have one. I think we need to get a dog…

haha yes. The pressure depends on the family but there is an expectation to have a boy first. Korean society doesn’t place as much emphasis on having a boy as other countries like China, and there isn’t like a lot of inequality between men and women but the having a boy first to continue the family line is important. Because families are so important.
