ahh–found this so bizarre when I moved into my new place in Korea. Lived there 3.5 years. And aside from the first few rolls to get me started before I knew anyone, I never had to buy TP again (I seriously had just under one full roll left when I moved back to Aus). Finding a place to store it all was a challenge!

Useful is good.

I was once invited last minute to a baby shower & didn’t know what to get so I just ended up bringing diapers. I felt a bit awkward when I saw how fancy some of the gifts were but felt better when I realised mine was one of the most useful.

Yep, you either get soap or toilet paper from Koreans at a housewarming party. I got super fancy red ginseng soap thanks to my good friend 영아 😀

I’m repeating here, but I know this is done in Japan as well. It makes total sense in my opinion, might as well get something that’s useful and indeed everyone needs. =)
I thinks it’s better than bringing food, which you may bring something the newcomer may not like. Aaaand, yup.
