This is my husband. I love him but he's so different when he's hungry. I've done a lot of research and there's an actual mental issue happening. The serotonin isn't there to help his brain function with the other parts on his brain that make him respond to things rationally. I do all the cooking as well, which I don't mind because I love to cook. But sometimes, he says he isn't hungry when I know he is. Does that happen with you guys?

Oh, man my husband can be a beast without his meals. I get more loopy than I do grumpy when I'm hungry. We both share the task of cooking, because I generally take care of most of the other housekeeping myself, but when we get so hungry that one person has turned into the incredible hulk and the other is off in la-la land, cooking becomes quite the task. Luckily it doesn't happen often.

It's such a great idea to split the chores by what you are good at and what you like. I know some couples are trying so hard to split everything 50-50. Isn't a great part of being a couple relying on each other's strengths and supplementing your own weaknesses? :)

I've experienced the above situation with most of the men in my life (husband, father, brothers, friends, colleagues, and even next door neighbours). Women, not so much.,, but that could also be because a lot of my female friends at my current age are very body-conscious, so I guess they're quite acclimatized to controlling hunger? I don't know... or it could be that women are just awesome like that ;D I myself can get by alright whilst being hungry if distracted with work or if I have something to do. If not, I would at least need something that can sustain energy (if not 'filling' like a proper meal) to keep me going. I do, however, get grumpy if I don't get enough sleep... same difference, no?
