the foods in the 1st pictures looks a lot like some Romanian dishes popular around Christmas. They're OK tasting, but i cant have them because i'm sensitive to minced meat, garlic, and onion.

In Argentina we eat a lot of meat and are great producers and consumers of cow. This means that we eat almost everything. The intestings, the brain, the tongue and the blood made as a sausage.
It's really normal for us and even the most delicious part for many so we do not think about it much, until you have to explain what are the dishes to a forengeir.

Going back through your Archive... hehe
Okay. Here in the United States; you will find people eating Intestines in the Southern States or those whose families came from the 'deep south'. You will find it being consumed by mostly African [black] Americans. It was a Slave Food, part of the Genre of Food called 'Soul Food'
The named for it is: Chitlins' [imagine a southern accent] I remember as a young girl, over at a friends house for a holiday meal, and this was being prepped. I had no idea what it was...lol It was explained to this [white girl].
I've always found it interesting that even in my own country, there are Cultural difference between those whose family came from the North and those from the South, then the Ethnic cultural difference, even though we all go back generations here.
