Interesting. I made Hotteok years ago but with a savoury basis too. I have a serious allergy to peanuts and certain other nuts, so I had to come up with a new way of enjoying this. In the ones I made, I made these 4 combinations: 1. Spinach, ricotta and fetta cheese. (THIS I STRONGLY RECOMMEND!). 2. Mushrooms, onions and cheese. 3. Green onions and cheese. 4. Ham and cheese. All of them worked but the best to date was the ones with spinach, ricotta and fetta cheese.

In reply to disqus_PVKb0890nw. Ew. I recently had a peanut butter and jelly bacon taco in LA. It was so weird I couldnt decide if I liked it or not. Sometimes odd food combinations work, but when they don't they really don't.

In reply to LoonyLizard. ummm kimchi is not made with gochujang. It's made with ground red pepper and Korean salted shrimp. And I wonder if you tried Korean acorn jello topped off with spicy soy sauce? Yum! Never had mint jelly so I can't imagine.... Here in Los Angeles, USA, Koreans own pizza restaurants that rival other American style pizzas (without excess sugar), so you might like the Korean pizza here in the USA.
