Just pointing out this obvious fact as my paternal grand parents were both originally from what is now North Korea and were orphans and so the clan that my surname belonged to was kind of a given rather than a factual thing. Found out last week after 34 years that I do have a clan which is a very rare one and is not the one i thought i was in throughout my life. What a shock!~~~ it like someone telling you your surname is completely different ( in terms of how Korean surnames are structured)
