It might just be building design. I have noticed here in Korea that even if the building is really tall, there might not be very many elevators, which is why people cram into them. Korea also has some really small elevators that only fit a few people. ^^

i should have specified that these small elevators are inside apartment buildings, and that the malls and other locations have larger ones… some of them just slightly larger… :/ apparently romanians like small areas..? lol

That’s really interesting about only have elevators for four people. When I lived in Germany, occasionally I saw elevators like that too.
