I saw Big Bang in Sydney and it was incredible! I think it may have been similar to what they did in Korea, with the story and everything. However, for Blue, they actually gave us all finger lights so everyone had blue finger lights to hold up as they sang that song. I bought a lightstick cause I felt I it was a necessity, even if expensive. Are they expensive in Korea?
I have seen many concerts over the years but Big Bang was one of the best. In comparison to western concerts, the involvement and chatting and effort put into it was incredible, a true "journey" as you guys said :P

It's been years since me and the Mrs. attended a rock concert, it was for Metallica, Limp Biscuit, Rob Zombie, Ramstein and Marilyn Manson thrown in at the Cow Palace in San Francisco, so kudos to you both for braving the craziness! Now in answer to your question regarding our experiences at concerts, we found the ones we use to go to tend to be more raw, primal and even somewhat tribal, with masses of people filling the venue and feeding off the chaotic unbridled energies just pouring out of the stage and the mosh pits. Add to the madness all the alcohol, weed and other "party favors", lot of the times you just never knew what was going to happen as people getting arrested for various offenses was a common occurrence. In short, looking back now it was a miracle any of us survived LOL! And even stranger still, we actually had some great times and some good memories! We all felt so indestructible back then, now the very thought of going through that all over again just makes us shudder. Now being older and somewhat wiser (definitely the wife, not too sure about myself), our tastes have gone to a much more slower, quieter events, usually at coffee houses, jazz clubs, and on occasion, an odd Irish pub here and there. Unlike when we were young, when we could hang out all hours of the night, and get home just in time to shower and change our clothes and head back out to work or school, I normally begin to fade out at about10:00 pm and can't wait to get home before midnight.
