Oh good heavens! I apparently haven't logged onto anything that has Discus on it for the longest of time, because I didn't see this one at all D: I am so sorry! I'm a horrible human ><I>.>" I don't see why anyone's making a big fuss over it though. Meanwhile, I hope you had a wonderful 18th birthday!

The internet is a magical thing! Where things can have ears and tails and everything else :D (Plus with cosplay, anything is possible. Trust me lol). The thing was I hadn't bought the shirt yet, and I didn't want to buy it only to find out it wasn't my size. So I was frantically contacting people who would have bought the shirt (it's for a big video game, so I knew people who already ordered like 3), only to discover none of them knew what I was talking about! Thankfully at the time it was only a little snug, and now that I've lost some weight in my hips it fits perfectly. It was still stressful at the time though >< I personally know very little about brands, and the usual extent is "what size do I have to look for in this brand?" Colors are infinitely more helpful though ^^

Ah! I'm so sorry for not replying sooner! ;u; I'm travelling, and didn't have internet connection for the longest time. I'm glad you had a fun time at your party! Although that sounds pretty darn fancy, especially for an 18th birthday o.o For mine I had a few of my friends over and we camped out in the back yard, haha.

No problem! I'm happy to help :) Yeah, ears are always a concern when you're buying hats, hoodies, etc. They'll always be subject to wear, but so long as they're sewn into the hood (like it appears to be in the image) as opposed to outside of it that shouldn't be too much a problem. I always use my button holes as thumb holes, if I have them. Thankfully my denim jacket takes the brunt of it since it's often my go-to, but the sleeves of my flannels have all seen better days. Measurements and size conversions are the worst though. I recently bought this shirt where the measurements ran really small, but I knew the shirt was cotton, which meant the weave could either allow for zero stretch whatsover, or could stretch a whole bunch. So I spent an entire evening trying to find comments about this shirt regarding how stretchy the fabric was xD No problem though! I love talking about this stuff, although when most people want to talk about fashion they want to talk about name brands, what's in, etc. I'd just rather talk about fabrics and colors and whatnot, y'know? (And again, I'm really sorry for the late response OTL)

Hey, that's perfectly fine. Like I said before, rock the chucks! (I'll be honest, if it weren't for my mum I would have worn my red converse to everything--school, choir concerts, prom, etc etc). Quite frankly, if people feel the need to actively judge you based on the shoes you choose to wear, they may not be the nicest people to be around in the first place, y'know? Don't let yourself worry about it too much :) Just have fun!~

I know right? And sometimes I find the oddest things comfortable (like, I'll wear a pair of dress slacks as casual wear) but quite frankly if it's itchy or stiff, there isn't a point to it xD The only exception is this one cute peasant top I have. The sleeves are kind of stiff, but it's so cute that I just let that slide a bit, haha. Lol, I wouldn't say it's my expertise per say, but they look like pretty decent quality hoodies. They're a cotton-polyester blend of mostly cotton, so they're not going to have that polyester sheen or anything, but they're going to have a nice little stretch to them. I obviously can't see the stitch quality from the pictures, but the seams are all in the right places for long lasting holds and whatnot. The cat ears seem pretty secure too. After awhile the thumb holes will probably wear down, but that's a totally normal thing (I have a flannel where the sleeves are worn to death because I use the button hole gaps as thumb holes ;u;). Over all they seem pretty good! Just be sure to measure yourself correctly (probably have someone else measure you rather than measuring yourself, otherwise you'll get the numbers a bit off) and heed the recommendation in the description to size-up if you want a looser jacket ^^

Haha it's okay xD And yeah.. the ones I got are kind of formal looking, not the casual kind... It's gonna be mismatched with casual shoes but I honestly don't care anymore. There's more to life than worrying about what people will think about your clothes. Those people who judge and stare at me (in a bad way) can kiss my dirty shoe undersides! :D And there's gonna be people I don't know, like her other friends and her relatives haha Thinking about it, I think wearing pink converse with a formal-ish romper would be something to talk about in a fun way there LOL
Ah yes comfort is always #1 for me. I don't care how much something appeals to me, if it's not comfortable, goodbye~ Omg I hope this isn't too much but would you mind looking at this and tell me what you think about the fabric and its quality? I'm planning to buy like 3 hoodies there, they're just so adorable >< The reviews are all good but since this is like your expertise... xD https://www.etsy.com/listing/118152626/hoodie-black-cat-pink-ears-long-kitty

Ah~ I didn't catch the rompers part ;u; Sorry, I was typing fast because I needed to run into town. They're not dresses of course, but they can still look classy and sassy depending on the kind you get ^^ (I've never worn one, but they definitely look comfy!) Shoes like converse would definitely more appropriate regardless though. It won't look odd persay to only have the shoes be pink; adding something else would just be means of balancing the colors a bit. An extra accessory helps if you're wearing something more formal and you don't want to pull attention to a specific article of clothing, but I think in your case it should be just fine. You'll be among friends after all~

By all means, I'm not a fashionista of any sorts either. Comfy is my only style, and I'll wear a flannel shirt with anything all year long xD Costuming and random dressy events just made me eventually have a better eye for colors and clothing. Fabric too--I bewilder my mum a lot because I refer to clothes and materials by the fabric they're made out of ^^"

I'm glad you were able to find a dress that works for you! And quite frankly, as long as you embrace it, and you feel comfortable in it, I bet you look just fine :) As for the pink converse, you wouldn't have to color them black. Especially if you're wearing a black dress, you can add an accessory that is a similar pink color to balance things out (ie: my friend had me wear a black dress with a pink belt for her wedding, so I made a hair bow to go with it). Although honestly, I doubt anyone will pay notice anyway. Rock the chucks! ^_^

Damn, thanks for your help although I didn't get to read it earlier, but dresses and skirts aren't exactly my thing. I'm absolutely picky when it comes to them. But my friend and I went to the mall earlier today til evening. She said she wasn't wearing a dress to the party but rompers, and we found a pretty nice black one and she and the staff said it looked good on me. They could be lying but personally I don't think it was too bad.. I've never wore such a thing before though. .-. But the SHOES. GOD. THE SHOES!!! I'M SERIOUSLY HOPELESS IN THE SHOES! I don't mind wearing dresses tbh I'm just self conscious, but shoes... I really hate heels and those open toed sandals whatever. Sneakers and sports shoes all the way! I think I'm totally giving up on it and am just gonna wear my hi-top converse with it... ;~;

And as a matter of fact my graduation dress was black and it was a short flare(?) type and I wore a white belt haha my shoes were a horrible mess, although I bought a new pair I'll never wear again, because I didn't care anymore. Ey look the same thing is happening! >_>

Ah. Well, the key there (if you do find a way to the mall before then) is solid colors. Sun dresses are more common in patterns, but if you find a nice, solid-colored sun dress it will be a lot easier to pass off as something fancier. Perhaps a pale-colored one with a dark fabric belt? (or alternately a dark colored dress with a white belt, but you usually don't find dark colored sun dresses ^^" Haha). I mean, it's not like the theme is ballroom dresses or anything...right? ._. Meanwhile, if you absolutely cannot avoid wearing your graduation dress, then perhaps adding accessories to it might be the way to go. Do you have any of those cute skirts that you tie on? Something like that can layer over for a different look.

Meanwhile, sorry if all of this is all a little out of sorts xD I've spent way too many years sewing clothes and making my own farm-scrub-esque clothes look kind of professional.

(or alternately a dark colored dress with a white belt, but you usually don’t find dark colored sun dresses ^^” Haha). I mean, it’s not like the theme is ballroom dresses or anything…right? ._. Meanwhile, if you absolutely cannot avoid wearing your graduation dress, then perhaps adding accessories to it might be the way to go. Do you have any of those cute skirts that you tie on? Something like that can layer over for a different look.

Meanwhile, sorry if all of this is all a little out of sorts xD I’ve spent way too many years sewing clothes and making my own farm-scrub-esque clothes look kind of professional.
