In Turkey your surprise or disapointment would be pistacchio flavoured things which looks green. I looove mint and chocolate together but i guess other Turks are not that into it :)

I've bought Andes Mints at Olive Young. They have both the regular kind and the "parfait" kind (I think they're called?) - the inside out ones. And some restaurants have "박하 사탕" which are like.. pepperminty sugar candies (?) shaped like.. wow, the word escapes me... two elongated pyramids stuck together? XD You can also find them in supermarkets. They're usually in a blue and white package.

I love mint sweets! Though I guess I don't really count as Korean... but my mom does, and she's always liked mint chocolate chip ice cream. I think most Koreans don't like mint sweets because it tastes like toothpaste to them.

I never really thought to look. I usually only looked for green and black teas because i had given up hope on all things mint. When i was visiting the states recently i brought home like 3 different varieties though, so I'm all set anyhow.

I also have a subconscious distaste for mint. i don't mind my tooth paste being whatever such and such but for some weird reason, I do not like mint chocolate or any types of minty tea or chewing gum. I do indulge on mint flavoured ice cream and stuff though which is odd.
