Lol, reminds me of serving my Korean friends a traditional Canadian Thanksgiving dinner (turkey & all the trimmings) and the first thing they asked was “where’s the kimchi?”. BTW, we found out that kimchi does go well with roast turkey 😛

OK, I had to ask mom this last night. I told her that I remember growing up and the kimchi smelling so bad and remember her panting at the table because of the heat or spiciness of the kimchi. She finally told me if it is really smelly it is old and not fresh and then said the kimchi was never really that hot it was all of the jalapenos she ate with the kimchi :/ I guess my memory was not all that when I was little.

I never thought I liked spicy food, until I came to Korea ^-^ I learned to appreciate it quickly, especially the cucumber-kind. yum.

After nearly four years of watching Korean dramas I have become indoctrinated regarding Korean food. I am a white English girl but I still go to Korea town and buy kimchi as a treat to myself.
PS. Love your blog. You are a really talented artist and always make me smile. 🙂
