I was so happy to find this post! My friend made me a mixed CD (back in the early 2000s) and it had this catchy Korean song on it as track 6. Unfortunately, neither she nor I knew the name of the song or who sang it because she got the song from a friend’s mixed CD. I clicked on H.O.T.’s Candy just out of curiosity, and was shocked when I recognized this song I spent many hours dancing to. Thank you so much for clearing up a long-running mystery.

OMG! I bet your husband is same age with me or just a few years apart! Forget the current K-pop wave. H.O.T and “젝스키스” (which phonetically can be written Jack’s Kiss) were the s*** back then! 😀

I meet your blog in another blog xD (deprosanacoreia). Is a brazilian man who live’s in Korea and talk about everything o.O I’m in love with your blog, but when I saw this post my heart beats 10000x faster. I’m only 20 but I do really love H.O.T and is funny what Mr. Gwon say about the time when he was a big fan because now things are the same, but with another groups. Anyway, congrats for this wonderful blog and thanks for talk about H.O.T, they are not here anymore making music, but you are introducing new people to good music. ~sorry for the english, I’m not that good.

One Ring to Rule Them All!
Thanks for posting these. I first heard about H.O.T. because of the drama “Answer Me 1997,” but couldn’t actually grasp why the main character had such an obsession with them — outside of just being a young, silly girl with an idol crush. Mr. Gwon explains a lot as to why they would have held such an appeal for that character (and her generation). Makes much more sense now.
