We obviously do too! We feel so very fortunate that we have so many wonderful and interesting friends, as we're sure you and Hugh do as well. Which is one of the many reasons why we enjoy visiting your site, so keep up the great work! Now we also know someone who was an old classmate of mine that is a criminal pathologist, but that's another story for perhaps another time...

Hey we have an old friend during my navy days who went on and eventually got his doctorate in folklore and now travels around the world as a visiting guest lecturer. We still kept in touch through the years and during one of his visits a few years ago, we went out for dinner during one of his stopover here in the states on his return from Australia and he told about his experiences he had with a group of British researchers at a place called the Princess Theater and the Old Melbourne Gaol, running some tests trying to record and measure levels of electromagnetism, taking pictures using ultra high speed and infrared cameras and something called electronic voice phenomenon or EVP. Now according to my friend, he said that a famous opera singer named Frederick Federici was performing as Mephistopheles in the opera Faust where he died suddenly of a heart attack while falling through a trap door on the stage during his characters exit. Since then there has been supposedly numerous sightings of Federici and other strange events occurring at the theater. At the Old Melbourne Gaol, we remember our friend telling us how this was THE place where criminals were placed in Australia including Ned Kelly who we were also told was hanged there uttering his famous last word "such is life". The funny thing is that according to him, it was the "women's ward" that seemed to have the most reports of strange activity, usually with numerous reports of voices of people that just wasn't there, and unusual random cold spots up and the ward. Our friend always has some very interesting stories to tell us of his travels, and we've always enjoy his visits even though it's so few and far between.
