Hahaha oh my gosh! My husband asked the same thing when we were at the Kamakura beach last weekend.
Neither of us was sure if we really could (so we took a bit but haven’t had the guts to try)

I actually find this behavior to be embarrassing from a fellow Korean perspective. Whenever my dad sees stuff while on vacation, he too wants to think of eating them just like Mr Gwon. Its almost like Homer Simpson saying to himself, hmmmm donuts… or hmmm beer…

I kinda wish I had a magic wand to wave and get rid of these I am born to eat mentality out of Koreans.

This sounds exactly like my (Japanese) wife. 🙂 And any time she sees a fish (even in a place like an aquarium) she says that it looks like it’d be delicious.
