In the States, we call it soccer. But since I come from a Mexican family, it’s always referred to as futbol. I prefer calling it futbol, actually. But since there’s American football, it’s kind of hard to say it the way I was raised with ^^’

I’m from Germany, so… Fußball. 🙂 Which means football if you translate it. However, my English teachers always told the class to NEVER use “football” when refering to Fußball, because people would mistake it as american football.

I am in Japan at the moment and it was a very sad day for Japan. All I could gather from the Japanese news about it was “We should be very sad as a country. This is a national failure” Or something along those lines.
