i remember when i was young and learning English as a primary school child, listening to a lot of things and thinking for days and weeks and months ( even years!) what something would mean or how they are expressed….ahhh!~ those were the virgin English years~~

I need to step it up on my Korean. My mother is starting to talk to me in full sentences now and I am at the point where I am just guessing what she is saying and answering what I think. It does give her a good laugh and then she calls me pabo. LOL

That’s my boyfriend. Every time I try to get him to teach me Vietnamese, he just laughs at my pronunciation and gets impatient when I ask him to repeat things so I can figure out the tones. Tonal languages are hard T_T And the other problem is that, if I try to get professional language learning tools for Vietnamese, they always teach the Central dialect and he and his family speak Southern dialect. Sob sob, cry cry.

And thus I try to learn Korean instead, kekeke. ^^ Those letters we don’t have in English don’t scare me after trying to master tones! =P

At least if you have someone correcting you and laughing at you when you learn Korean you will get more used to making mistakes and feel less embarrassed if other people correct you. That’s my experience anyway…

In reply to dennis. Australia has a scheme where people can live and work in Australia. The first visa is for about 1 year, and if the person does some farm or agricultural work in that time ( for a few months in rural areas of Australia where more workers are needed), they can apply for a second working holiday and stay for another year. There are a lot of people from all different countries that come and do this.
