The Paris Baguette we have here in NYC is good, the bread isn’t sweet at all. I usually get the Sardine Baguette.

Try Paris Croissant. There’s a few around Seoul but the best on is in Seorae Ma-ul aka French Street. They have amazing bread.

Completely agree with everything here!

From memory there is a really awesome bakery in hongdae called Paul and Paulina. It’s opposite the university–walk between the Nescafe and the Starbucks and it’s just a couple of stores up 🙂 Found it easy on google maps, I hope it’s still there. There is also a very cool cafe (Cafe Source) that’s tucked behind the same starbucks. I remember they had ‘mopple’ there–it’s a cross between mochi and a waffle. Totes Awes 😛

It must be really tough to find good savory bread… I can’t imagine how tough it is to exist without it (as it is, although I have savoury bread in the house, I miss the bread from my hometown – it was fresh, and had way less preservatives than the others)

Hahaha I have the same love-hate relationship with Korean bakeries! I’m French, bread is life necessity to me… 😉 There’s a couple of bakery with excellent savory bread in Seoul and immediate Gyeonggi-do, but beyond that, I’m afraid it’s hard to find anything decent 🙁

There’s a brown sliced loaf that’s whole grain and not too sweet, also the garlic baguettes i find quite good, especially the cheese stuffed one.
