I remember having raw pheasant in Jeju--it was ok, but the 생말고기 was better ;)

I also remember similar conversations with a good Korea friend of mine. We went to wolmido and they have etchings of different sea creatures in the pavement. The names were in English and so we were trying to work out what they were (they were knew to me, and if she knew what they were, she didn't necessarily know what they were in English). Upon seeing one I said 'mmm, I wonder what that is', to which she replied 'is it delicious?'. I laughed so hard. I love that the question wasn't 'is it edible?', the assumption was that it must be edible, the important question was around the taste. It became a long running joke ;) hehehe

Nic, do you think you might have or be getting SAD (seasonal affective disorder) since you're feeling tired a lot? I've heard that light therapy can help a lot. Maybe you'd be able to find a special lamp on Gmarket that could help.

I have shoulder and wrist issues and hanging from a pull-up bar ( or anything that will support the weight) for 20-30 seconds a day makes a world of difference. It gently stretches all my arm and shoulder muscles.
I hope you find something that will bring you relief!

Aww. I had a Korean doctor like that! I injured my back, and asked the doctor if it would go back to normal. He laughed hysterically and said that I cannot be ten years old again.
Must be a Korean doctor thing.

That is very true when dealing with a repetitive motion type of injury. They used to have my mum put her wrist on a bag of frozen veggies or ice pack to help with her carpel tunnel she said that never seemed to help but the splint did. She wore the splint 24/7 until she had her surgery.

I agree, I use a hot water bottle all the time :-) It's a blessing ;-) As for the wrist, I'm not sure if you can put hot water bottle to it - I know that heat can exacerbate some inflammations... My mum used to have problems with her arm because she had some kind of inflammation and she put a hot water bottle to it to alleviate the pain - but when she went to the doctor finally, he told her that she should have used cold water instead because the heat only made things worse... So.. I guess we should be careful; it's always better to consult things with a doctor... well maybe some other doctor than the one Nic went to :D
