I saw a another video about plastic surgery and reading through the comments sadden me so much. There was an asian girl (not sure if she was Korean or not) but it was clear that she is a young girl that has problems with the way she looked. She had said things like she wish she was Croatian because white people where beautiful and asian are ugly. She continued to say things like Angelina Jolie was beautiful because she is Croatian, because she got surgery and no one would want her. In high school she one one found her attractive and never had a boyfriend. I really wanted to say something that would make her feel better about her self as an asian girl myself. But in the end I just didn't know what to say. There was some there saying that he found asian women extremely attractive but that didn't help at all. Seeing things like this just makes me sad and angry.

I think I was more open-minded BEFORE coming to Korea, but seeing a friend opt for minor surgery which I thought she didn't need made me more against it. She only went in to have the process explained, and came out saying they'd suggested she have work done on something else, after pointing out a "flaw" which she was then paranoid about (she never even considered it before). It's no wonder they all drive such fancy cars in the plastic surgery hotspots - they can make a lot if they can catch just a few suggestible people.

It's amazing how much hard work the participants put in such competitions. Reminds me of all those high school students preparing for the university entry exams. It's all about the show they're doing, and Team B definitely did miracles with "Climax".. I agree with you, YG didn't foresee what was coming, many fans are angry, but if he doesn't help them debut, I'm sure that some other producers will be impressed and will take the chance to do that themselves :)

Yeah, it's dangerous having that much surgery. I've had family members who have had brain damage (I suspect) from just surgeries they needed to get done. So to actually get surgery done over and over again like that, that you don't really need, that's crazy to me! I sometimes wish I had less chubby cheeks, but I'm not going to go to Korea to get my jaw shaved, sounds painful. D: Anyway, I enjoyed this video!

I like this video A LOT. It funny how so many Koreans want to get double eye lid surgery and I've always been jealous of the single lid eyes because I thought they were so beautiful. And in fact I made mention to my Korean friends that if I ever goto Korea I'd get one surgery, my nose to make it smaller (its a high ridge nose) but they flipped put said I was crazy and that Koreans kill for that kind of nose.

Well make sure to tell mr gwon that he is VERY handsome and does not need ANY surgery. His eyes and nose are perfect.

Yes I did! I really liked both teams. I liked individuals on Team A but I liked Team B as a whole team. I think the show ended up being so harsh. Like the big concert was just a sob fest. I think YG didn't actually think ahead to how much it upsets people. He even said himself that before he is very separate from trainees and speaks to them harshly. But with the show he saw them and got to know them and it played with his emotions too. I really hope that he lets Team B debut as well.

Ah, btw, did you watch the show "Win: Who is next"? If yes, then which was your favourite team, or what do you guys think of such competitions? :D

It's not easy to talk about such a controversial subject, so I wholeheartedly congratulate you guys. I also had a friend who has done a surgery, not something major, but it made me see things a bit different, to be more open minded. However, a whole face surgery scares me, and I am not approving it. Unfortunately, I consider it a bit of a society issue, since the values promoted in that community are the ones to blame for such outcomes. :(

I have to agree with this! I guess in Australia there's a lot of media about how trashy and fake plastic surgery is and it's prejudiced us against it - so knowing a lot more about it now has allowed me to be a bit more relaxed about the idea of plastic surgery. But full face reconstruction scares me still! Especially the jaw surgery!!! eek! But for all that - I don't think body image in Australia is much better. Whilst Korea seems to be focused on the face, Australia is really focused the body and how skinny/muscular you are - which seems to be changing a little bit, but very slowly!
