In reply to Stephanie Moretti. that reminds me of a yahoo answers question where someone asked for the name of a song by typing "Duh duh duh duh dun dun" and when someone answered 'Seven nation army by the White stripes' It turned out to be the right song. made me laugh.

i have a short term memory of a fish and always have trouble naming songs although in my head i know the tunes…even the apps that help tend to miff the hums that i put into it…. must mean i hum in a wrong tune or something….

my mom did that when i was hanging out with her one day, she started asking about some song i had played before and i had no idea what it was, it turned out to be bigbang’s haru haru hahahahaha

If the song’s not in English, and someone just tells me the lyrics, I can NOT guess it for the life of me! But, if they hum it, I can usually get it, as long as I know the song! I’m not super musical, but I am just a little from doing band 🙂

Once upon a time, I was trying to figure out the name of Down with the Sickness by Disturbed after watching Queen of the Damned by typing ‘Ooh wa ah ah ah’ (or something like that =P) into goggle because that’s the only part of the song that plays in the movie AND IT WORKED! What?? ^^ And that’s my story.

I have an app called Shazam on my phone (android), you can hum a song to it, or hold it up to the radio ect, and it will tell you the name and artist of the song if it can work it out. Even lets you buy the tune online.
