Aw, that’s sad. Korean netizens are really difficult like that. Even in dramas, the way the actor characters live in fear almost of ‘what the netizens might find out’ and how it’ll ruin their career, it’s not too exaggerated. Entertainers and artists aren’t owned by anyone, and should be able to lead their own private lives.

There is a brief summary of the Tablo stuff on his wikipedia page. Basically he was accused of faking his degree at Stanford Univeristy by netizens and his life was made hell. Even after proving his innocence he was hounded. Really difficult time for him.
