omg!! i ordered this big box full of books and cds to help me learn korean and this dress from amazon 2 days ago and it is taking FOREVER to get delivered!!! ahhhhhhhh!! i definitely wished i lived in korea right now lol

😀 The Netherlands also has a fast delivery. Order today get it the next day or the day after that around 12 to 3pm. ^_^ But the Netherlands is even smaler then Korea so it isn’t surprising to have this system also in the Netherlands. ^_^

This is what I miss about Asia! The culture has a fast and quick mentality. Back in the dark ages, I remember ordering plane tickets one afternoon and they were delivered a few hours later. This was back when e-tickets were not common. Also, in Taiwan, I love how 7-Eleven is your everything: you can pay any bills there, ask them to hold packages for you if you’re not home, recharge your highway passes, etc. There’s one on every corner so it’s very convenient.

Japan is pretty similar 😉
But that also means i have to sit around at home waiting to “pick up” a package – otherwise we have to call the company and re-schedule a drop-off.

It’s really hard if you live alone and/or both spouses work, so no one is at home.

It’s the same here in Germany – well, technically it is. It depends on where you oder from and which delivery service it used. If you have Amazon Prime you get your order the next day most of the time.

But to guarantee this service Amazon treats its workers pretty harsh. The workers luckily are part of a union but their working conditions are still not great because they work overtime, without getting approriate breaks and their wages aren’t great either. So while I enjoy getting things quickly I don’t like that they don’t treat their employees fairly.

That’s why sometimes I try to buy things in my local shops but most of the time they either don’t have what I’m looking for or it’s much more expensive. 🙁

I remember the first time I ordered ink for my printer and it arrived on the same day. I was so shocked that did. I didn’t think it was possible

Even within Australia I find it can take a week. Overseas can be *so* slow!
