In reply to <a href="https://www.mykoreanhusband.com/running-shoes/#comment-9764">PriusP</a>.

I definitely want to get into shape, especially before I get pregnant too. It's been harder even doing some walking lately because of our horrible schedules (sleep at 5am, wake up in the afternoon) but hopefully only about 5 more months of that.
One thing that does affect my routine is my chronic fatigue syndrome. Do you know anything about it and what exercise may be best for someone with this illness?

Hahaha, "shoes are back in the wardrobe, way too much effort to get them out again". Reminded me of Harold & Kumar, when they took like 10 steps out of their apartment but forgot to bring directions and were too lazy to get it because they had already walked too far! But in all seriousness, I highly encourage you to start working out. Weight resistance training is important even for women. It gets easier everyday, getting started is the hard part. Listen to some music to help motivate you. Once you start seeing changes you will get excited and want to work out even more. I used to see working out as a chore but now it's literally a highlight of my day! Seriously, you want to stay healthy, look and feel young as long as possible right? You need to setup a solid foundation NOW because it only gets harder as you get older. Not trying to scare you, Nic, I just have a soft spot for you guys. I'm a personal trainer btw. Hahaha. If you have questions I'd be happy to help, maybe even develop a simple customized program just for you to help you get started! (I'll need to ask some simple questions first like your physical build, your fitness goals, eating habits) Sometimes all you need is that little push from someone who will hold you accountable. (Somehow I doubt that'd be the cookie devouring Mr. Gwon lolol. In other words, you need to surround yourself with a strong support system. People who will help challenge you to reach your goals, not vice versa) Also, I know it can get confusing with a lot of misleading info on health out there. It can be intimidating. That's why having a friend who's knowledgeable in these matters who can explain in layman's term is so beneficial! Take advantage!!! :) PS. In no way am I saying you have a bad body. We all can improve. It's not all about the looks, but mostly our health. It's the most important investment and gift we can give to ourselves. So, no excuses!

I blame it all on the gravitational pull of my sofa, in combination with the fact that time travel hasn't been invented so that I can catch up on all my Kdrama...........which totally cancels out any desire to go to the gym! Kudos to Mr. Gwon for his dedication.

I've only ever been in a gym once in my life and it was during high school and they forced us to go as "recreational" sport. I have never set foot into a gym ever since. I'm like you I'll rather do things like swimming or walking instead. The gym sounds like a form of voluntarily torture to me
