In reply to E Lim. It shocked me as well! I never thought I would see anything like that come from S. Korea. I honestly disliked it.. but that's just my opinion. What I love about Korean shows is how they are not lewd and I'm not embarrassed to watch them with my family.

In reply to Nic. Some producer felt like there wasn't enough drama and tears in the mix to appeal to the Korean public, I bet. That's my theory for how K-dramas go south as well: Everything goes well for five episodes maximum, then producer, agent, executive, investor, product placement and even location placement interference kicks in.

The nudity and sex scenes didn’t bother me at all, the abortion thing still haunts me though, that was shocking. I think I didn’t understand half the film then, I hated it.

Hahahaha. I don’t really watch that but many people post it on facebook so sometimes I see it. This TV show is pretty funny because of THE SLEAZY JOKES… 신동엽, who performed as Dc, Evil is a Legend of being sleazy.

I saw one episode of SNL Korea and I was so shocked at the jokes. There were jokes about rape (kinda, putting it that way makes it sound worse than it was, it also had to do with cross dressing iirc) and about having a “long urethra” and such. I was so surprised xD

ah i’ve seen sex is zero xD i can’t remember if it was the first one or the second one though… i told my friend about it because i was quite shocked but it was funny though. like someone else said, it’s sort of like the korean american pie lol

Korean movies can definitely be a whole different playing field when it comes to sexuality, violence, or taboos. I still remember when my Korean roommate bought me what he considered the best Korean movie for my birthday, Oldboy. I sat in complete and utter shock at the plot twist at the end…he was right the movie was brilliant and was like a Quentin Tarantino movie on steroids. One of my top recommendations for any film but I warn people to be prepared for a complete mindtrip.
