In Indonesia, we don’t have tetraphobia but mostly or maybe all of the building skip one number usually number 13 so they only have 12A and 12B then jump to 14

This happens in China too. When I go to the elevator, there’s the button for the fourth floor. I always wonder if they leave the fourth floor empty or not.

Ahh I see. Oh dear.
Yeah, i guess for the Japanese, as there is the single character for 4 in japanese and also they more often use the english numeral, plus have two readings for 4 that problem is not so existant, but i wonder now if they skip the level in buildings too..

I presume they also dont have house 4 on a street too?

Sometimes they might put F for four instead. But I guess you can’t a spell out a full word because of space. Like spelling out four in pure Korean would probably be a hassle. And the phobia would still stick anyway I’m guessing? I kinda don’t notice anymore but when we were in Korea every building we were in that was like that, my dad would say “why is there no level 4?” and again I’d say “4 is death”. Had to explain it so many times haha.

I still find it weird they skip the number… Not just use the OTHER WORD for the same number.. Japanese has the same issue, where 4 has two different counters (as does seven due to both having the death thing)…..
Just is odd in a building to have 3 then 5 lol…
But this made for an even more amusing story with the reception like that. Awesome work with the comic 🙂
