I agree with you on not always correcting the spouse when they speak English.. I'm a white lady from the U.S. and my husband is Thai. I think when we were dating I did correct him more often, but not so much anymore unless he asks how to say something properly. Although he does speak English very well, many times he will say something very--unique, "Thaiglish," if you will. =) It's actually a part of our humor together, if that even makes sense. He and I are together so often that his unique phrases and words are rubbing off on me, haha. Even he will agree that my English is off because of him, but I don't mind at all.

I came across your blog via tumblr and love it since I can relate to a lot of your situations. =)

Jajajaja how adorable. My first language is Spanish but English is right behind it and i have been speaking it since I was small but sometimes, now that I live in the U.S., I get corrected on how I pronounce my 'j' and 'y' since in spanish they have the opposite sound. I also come out with absurd things like 'He ranned over the blah blah blah' and someone eventually corrects me about it, so I feel as I personally understand how Mr. Gwon got them words and phrases, jaja.

I am not sure if the funny little sayings ever go away. Mother has been in the states for about 45 years now and still says funny words. I love it though! It is part of the way she is and sometimes it is funny that we laugh together about it.
