Oh, I know! the cats are so skittish in Korea. But it probably comes form years and years of being seen as vermin. Cats were never very well esteemed in Korea. I got lucky with Shelly, she was super friendly; and she was lucky we found her before anything bad could happen to her, as sadly often does with overly friendly kitties.

Kitties are so cute to watch! Feral cats are a bit of a problem in the States as well. Especially in the countryside where people dump their cats off. 🙁

In reply to Nic (MyKoreanHusband). when my brother was in the hospital, there was this kid that had an infection from a cat scratch (from his grandma's housecat) that caused a very nasty tumor on her body. I don't know if she got better cause my brother died and we left the hospital, but I still remember her very vividly.

In reply to Cassie Davis. Haha that's the thing, when you study you learn about all these diseases you can get from animals and all the things that can happen... and they rarely do, so it is anti-climatic haha
