Yeah it can be difficult for others to understand, like we could afford our own apartment in certain areas but they don’t have the same benefits as where we live now. I’d still rather share and be where we are now and in a nice modern apartment rather than some crappy place too far out.

haha, I just showed my husband your pic and he said he used to play on his laptop the same way! He plays with his laptop on the bed now but older laptops over heat when they are on the bed so it’s better to put it on the floor. He reckons it wasn’t too uncomfortable playing that way…

It is a really nice house with a pool (which is needed this time of year!) and in a great area but I know if we lived by ourself rent would be at least another $100p/wk and we would have no where near as nice of place. My mum nearly flipped out when I told her we were moving in with a family, she couldn’t get her head around the idea why a married couple would want to share, but for a nicer place in a good area sometimes you have to.

Having our own bathroom and a TV in our room and our own fridge definitely helps so we can still have some privacy.

Men are contradicting like that. Even my dad says stuff like that. LOL

Ahh, fair enough. They have their own seperate fridge/freezer unit.

We view USA prices as lower in general than here….. but people’s wages are generally higher in Australia as well. So even though people get paid more here…. well everything is really expensive anyway. We are wanting to try saving up for a house in the coming years…bit scary.
