This has happened to me so many times It's not even funny anymore! I didn't realize what a toll 4 years with minimal native English speaker interaction could do to a person's vocabulary lol

One of my ongoing jokes in class and with my Korean friends is me saying, in Korean, "Sorry, I don't speak English well." If I get a particularly silly student, sometimes I'll get in response "I don't speak Korean well."

Hm, maybe it's only funny in context...

Haha well we have a Tagalog/Filipino word, 'kwan', which means 'thing'. So basically our fall-back word when we forget something xD

I know them feels. I often forget English words… and I have lived in Sydney for almost my whole life (except for when i was in America when I was 1-4)
As I learn more Korean and Japanese at uni, I find my English is getting more and more shocking, and I am studying in Korea for either 4 months or a year starting in 2 weeks.. Kinda worried about how my English is going to sound.

Don't you have the no English rule in your house though? haha
