In reply to Shinnokina. There are out dated laws that make air con for homes way more expensive. Businesses are exempt though, so shops and cafes etc all have good air con running all the time, but it's not the same at home. Many people will spend their whole time in cafes to stay cool.

In reply to Shinnokina. Well there is aircon in the busses and on trains and in shops but the heat is so intense that unless one runs the aircon in the house on full blast all the time, it is way too hot. And that can get really expensive.

In reply to Nic (MyKoreanHusband). Normally the heat doesn't bother me at all, but I can feel myself getting heat exhaustion/dehydrated really easily and quickly here. I worry about the old people a lot.

Ah yes, those messages. At first I used to panic as well, but now I’m like: oh another heat warning. Yay! I might melt again today. I never knew I could produce this much sweat I tell you. And I’m used to hot South African summers and hot and humid Maryland summers! This heat and humidity are something else! The other day the real feel was 51 degrees Celsius! Ah!
