I’ve been telling my parents that I’d like to live in Korea for a while when I get older, and one of the things they’re really scared of are the drivers in Korea. Just gotta be extra careful I guess!

Well, here in Colombia, the majority of cities have traffic lights and zebras, just like in Korea I suppose, the lights change automatically but there’s no button XD For being honest, this is the first time I hear about the button at the traffic lights. Drivers are so impolite as well, I always wait and I really don’t care waiting but some people just cross when there are no cars. Anyway I could write for hour about the crossing-street problems that my city has so I’ll stop now 🙂

I notice a lot of times when I’m driving around my university campus that the students will press the crosswalk button /so many/ times. They will press it three times, wait a couple seconds, then start slamming their palm on the button some more <_< I want to tell them that pressing the button doesn't make the light cycle change, it just shows the "it's safe to cross" sign once it's actually their turn to cross. They gotta wait just like the cars do! 😛

I saw in k-drama the kids would raise their little hands to indicate they wanna cross, that is so cute~~

In New York all the buttons are decoys. They just want people to push it so, they’ll wait and wont jay walk; while the light just goes to green in it’s own time. When I figured this out as a preteen, I felt betrayed lol. -_-

Did you know in korea the buttons at crossings are only for blind people. The lights change automatically and pressing the buttons lets out a really loud siren… I found out first hand.

Ha, here in Ireland, a lot of people jut leg it across the street, even if the little man is red 😛 Though they usually wait for a break in the traffic 🙂
