I think so. I’ve definitely noticed that Korean men in general have less problems with expressing themselves. But older generations in Korea have more trouble with being open (unless they are drunk).
And in comparison to Australian men Korean men are usually more expressive.

U know,like when we watched Korean dramas, there’ll be scene where the guy/hero cries over certain things. At first, like 10years ago,when i started to watch K-Drama, i’m actually was quite surprised to see that in Korean drama,bcuz I was brought up with the understanding of ‘real man doesn’t cry openly’. However with the booming of K-drama,that stereotype has been broken,and men now could express their sadness openly like we girls do… ^^
