Hello there….I knew abt pottermore becos I’m reading your blog, so thanks a lot Nic 🙂
Anyway, I’m from Indonesia and I accidentally find this blog abt 2 weeks ago and I really love your blog becos it’s so funny and I also love K Drama n K Pop hehehe… I also have an inter-racial relationship (my bf is a Chinese Malaysian) so sometimes I also experience the same “cultural difference” things like u and Mr Gwon, though it’s not so much difference becos both of us are Asian.
So…since I found this blog I’ve been read it everyday (I start to read from the beginning – April 2012) and I also show it to my colleagues and my other friends who also love to watch K-Drama.
One word for both of u : Aja Aja FIGHTING!!!Your blog is so DAEBAK!! <3

I’m a Hufflepuff too! And similarly my boyfriend of five years (though he isn’t really into Harry Potter) has been sorted as a Slytherin in many different tests, including Pottermore. I have a mini meltdown of despair and sadness each time this happens, even though I know its coming.

BUT! Maybe it’s the best relationship combo because someone’s got to speak up for the Hufflepuffs and someone’s got to help the Slytherins keep their attitudes in check….right? At least I’m not married to a Slytherin, I can still escape. You’re trapped, Nicola! hahaha 😛

In my brother’s school (in the US) they actually divided up the grade into houses with the 4 teachers representing a house. Then the students got sorted accordingly! The funny thing is the teachers that represented each house really did match the personalities of each house! By the way, my brother was also Slytherin haha. I’m Gryffindor so I guess that explains sibling rivalry 🙂

The Pottermore questions are not very skewed, it’s not really easy to guess and it’s not every question there possibly is: it’s a selection of questions from a bigger list. So everyone gets a different selection of questions rather than a set list. Some have 6 answers, some only have 2. Different to the fan made ones online where there are 4 obvious answers.

I was so surprised at him getting Slytherin- not only because of obvious reasons, but his answers didn’t scream Slytherin. There were some that leaned that way – wanting to study vampires and a nightmare of having people laugh at you, but on a whole it wasn’t really obvious.

Okay, I have so many things to say about HP but that would end up being an entire book! lol. I was sorted into Ravenclaw which I accept, but I also think most HP quiz questions are skewed, so you know if you pick a certain answer you’ll get a certain house (although I don’t remember Pottermore’s questions–beyond what you just read to us, I was one of the people in the beginning solving riddles to get early access). But don’t despair about Mr. Gwon’s house, think of Slytherin as shrewd and ambitious and maybe cunning (even though that has bad connotations) rather than evillllll haha. Now you have to make him play the frustrating games (I always get stuck in the rooms searching for things haha).
