As for Japan getting the 2020 olympics, I’m neutral on it. My husband, on the other hand thinks that they need to focus on cleaning up the nuclear mess rather than building new stadiums and stuff.

ha! australia is such a big and diverse country, i think it is hard to generalise on anything. personally, living in western australia i didn’t see snow until i was 26 – and i had to fly to a completely different country to do it. 🙂 i’ve heard down south it can get cold enough to have extremely light snow in the hills, but ive never seen it. id be interested in knowing the number of winter olympians from states other that NSW, Tas and Vic. haha

S.Korea also has 7 medals in regular speed skating and gold in figure skating. And I don’t think that “korea is only good in the winter olympics short track circuits coz koreans have very short legs by proportion ” is something she would want to say to her husband who she loves.
